Outlook Web App is Losing its Calendar Board View

Outlook web app Calendar board view

Microsoft is planning to remove the calendar board view in the Outlook web app this month. This will affect consumers using Outlook.com, as well as Microsoft 365 commercial customers using the Outlook web app (except for government customers who didn’t have access to this view).

“In June 2023, calendar board view will be retired. When this happens, you will no longer be able to access your boards and you will be redirected to a supported calendar view,” Microsoft explained in a support page.

The calendar board view, previously known as “Project Moca”, currently works as a customizable visual planner that can display multiple calendars, task lists from To Do, as well as clocks for different time zones. Users can also create multiple boards and move items around as they like.

The company didn’t say why it was retiring this calendar board view this month, but it’s possible that it didn’t get enough usage. Anyway, if you’ve been using this Outlook calendar board view, you’ll soon be forced to go back to something a bit more basic.
