Proton announced that its Lumo AI is now available for businesses with the same privacy and security protections as the consumer version.
“Lumo is the only AI that gives you all the advantages and without the privacy risks,” Proton’s Eamonn Maguire writes in the announcement post. “Millions of individuals are already using our AI assistant to find answers, draft documents, and get more done. Now we’re bringing that same power to organizations with Lumo for Business.”
Lumo for Business has the same privacy protections as the version for individuals: Proton never uses your data to train AI, doesn’t log your chat sessions, can’t share your data with others, and provides compliance with zero-access encryption. Like the consumer version, Lumo for Business is built using open source code and AI models, and businesses retain full data ownership. Anyone can view the source code.
Lumo for Business integrates with Proton Drive, so you can ground the AI in documents and other data, and because it’s hosted in Europe, you’re protected by some of the world’s strongest privacy protections.
Lumo for Business is normally $14.99 per user per month when billed annually, but there’s an introductory sale that takes 20 percent off, or $11.99 per user per month. There’s also a Proton Business Suite that adds 1 TB of Proton Drive storage, 20 email addresses/aliases, 15 custom email domains, and other perks for $27.98 ($22.98 on sale) per user per month.
