Instagram Now Supports Multiple Captions for Carousel Posts

Instagram is rolling out the ability to add a unique caption to each slide on a carousel post. The team said that this has been a long-requested feature from the community, and it will roll out to all Instagram users this week.

Having a unique caption for carousel posts wasn’t great for telling stories, and multiple captions support is probably something Instagram should have implemented a long time ago. Anyway, it’s finally there, and you can see how it works in the video included in the carousel below.

To add multiple captions to a carousel post, you’ll just need to tap the caption area and toggle on “multiple captions.” You’ll then be able to add a unique caption to each image in the post.

Last week, Instagram also finally made it possible to rearrange posts on your grid, which was also a top-requested feature. It’s available by tapping and holding any post on your grid and selecting “reorder grid” in the pop-up menu.
