Dell Reports Record Revenues

Dell reported that it earned a net income of $4.1 billion on revenues of $47 billion in the quarter ending July 31, 2026. Those figures represent gains of 255 percent and 58 percent, respectively, year-over-year (YOY), and the latter was a company record. But to be clear, two-thirds of those revenues come from AI datacenter sales, not PCs.

“IT environments have shifted from cost centers to value drivers that fuel growth and competitive advantage, and customers are investing accordingly, creating opportunity across our portfolio,” Dell vice chairman and COO Jeff Clarke said. “That’s clearest in our AI server business where we booked a record $60.9 billion in orders, recognized a record $16.4 billion in revenue and exited the quarter with a record $95 billion backlog.”

Dell’s Infrastructure Solutions Group had record revenues of $31.8 billion in the quarter, a gain of 89 percent YOY. Those revenues were spread across AI-optimized servers ($16.4 billion, up 100 percent YOY), traditional servers and networking ($10.5 billion, up 122 percent), and storage ($4.9 billion, up 26 percent YOY).

The company’s Client Solutions Group added another $15 billion in revenues, up 20 percent YOY, with record commercial sales of $13.2 billion, up 22 percent. Consumer revenue was $1.8 billion, up 7 percent YOY.
