Instagram Now Lets You Send Voice Messages

Posted on December 10, 2018 by Mehedi Hassan in Social with 3 Comments

Instagram is making it possible to send voice messages on Instagram Direct. The company today started rolling out the new feature to all Android and iOS users worldwide.

Voice messages work just like you’d expect: hold down the microphone icon to start recording and let go of it one you are done recording the message. Once sent, the voice message will remain forever and anyone within a chat can listen to it whenever they want. It works in both private messages and group conversations, reports TechCrunch.

Voice messages on Instagram are a big deal — more and more teens are moving from Snapchat to Instagram, and we love using voice messages, especially in group chats. So now that Instagram has voice messages much like WhatsApp and Snapchat, the group chats are about to get a whole lot more entertaining.

Isn't that about as bad as Skype having emojis?

Unless you're a teen or a shareholder/employee in Snapchart or Facebook, how is it a big deal?
