Here Comes Build 2019

Microsoft is hosting its Build 2019 developer conference this week in Seattle. And yes, Brad, Mary Jo, and I are here to cover the show.

Here’s what you can expect from us this week.

Build keynotes

Microsoft has changed the keynote structure again. This year, there is a single vision keynote, which starts at 8:30 am PT/11:30 am ET today (Monday) and runs about 90 minutes. After that, the firm will host two technical keynotes, side-by-side, for Microsoft 365 and Azure, so that attendees can pick which to watch.

Mary Jo and I will be providing a post-vision keynote analysis segment with Microsoft’s Channel 9 that will run about 30 minutes.

As you might expect, Build is heavily commercial cloud-focused, so there will be more content on Petri and Mary Jo’s All About Microsoft sites. But I’ll be covering everything relevant to Windows, Edge, and client development here on Thurrott.com as need, of course.

Windows Weekly

Mary Jo Foley and I are recording Windows Weekly live from Build again, but because of the logistics of the show, we don’t have a stage or open venue for others to join us, sorry. But if you want to watch it live online, you can do so at twit.tv/live today (Monday) at 1:00 pm PT/4:00 ET (not our normal day/time).

Meet-up

Mary Jo, Brad, and I are also hosting a meet-up on Tuesday evening, and everyone is invited. It’s being held at the Pine Box Bar on Capitol Hill from 7:00 to 9:00 PT. See you there!
