Microsoft Announces the .NET MAUI Beautiful UI Challenge

In a bid to showcase some of the user interface work that’s being done with .NET MAUI, Microsoft has announced a new promotion.

“.NET MAUI doesn’t just enable you to create cross-platform applications on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android… it helps you to do it with style,” Microsoft’s Jon Galloway announced. “You can create beautiful apps that delight your users, using great built-in features, native controls, and community libraries.”

According to Galloway, anyone who contributes to the Snppts community site or the .NET MAUI Good Looking UI repo on GitHub in August will receive a .NET sticker pack from the .NET team at Microsoft. All you have to do is submit a pull request to Snppts or .NET MAUI Good Looking UI and then fill out a short form to tell Microsoft about your experience and where to send the stickers.

Better still, the top submissions will be showcased on the .NET blog and on James Montemagno’s On .NET show. Microsoft will be awarding developer submissions for best overall application, best use of new APIs (shadows, borders, etc.), best responsive application (works well at different device sizes), and best incorporation of native UI features.
