Google Antigravity Gets Remote Agents, Voice Mode, More

Because I have a Google AI Pro subscription from my recent Pixel purchase, I’ve been using Antigravity for my recent vibe-coding activities. And this agentic development platform just received a major update that should make that kind of work even simpler.

Antigravity 2.29 is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It includes remote agents, voice mode, and several UI improvements, among other changes.

“We want Antigravity to be working for you all the time,” a recent tweet from the Google Antigravity team explains. “We’ve been rolling out remote agents this week. Your tasks run in independent cloud virtual machines. Fire off a task, step away for coffee, unblock permissions from your phone, and come back to passed tests and a clean pull request. Available on all paid consumer plans.”

Remote agents work in the cloud instead of locally on your computer, so they can work on long-running tasks while Antigravity or your browser aren’t open or your computer is offline or asleep.

“Voice mode in Antigravity is here,” a separate Antigravity tweet reads. “Enabled by the Gemini Live model, you can use your voice to plan, steer code changes, and approve permissions out loud. Have a live conversation across multiple languages, interrupt whenever you need to, set your preferred voice and playback speed, and when you’re done, just say “bye” or tap end. Happy building!”

Voice mode will likely emerge as the most common way to interact with Antigravity because you can have a natural language conversation with the service while you work on other things.

In addition to those two major changes, the Antigravity app’s user interface has also been updated. The Conversation page has been redesigned so that the prompt box is on the bottom of the screen, the fonts have been updated throughout, and the agent picker has moved to the model menu. There’s a lot more, too, but you can see the full list of changes on the Antigravity site.

Google Antigravity is available in downloadable app form for Windows 11, Windows 11 on Arm, Linux, Mac, and Googlebook.
