What’s the best way to Macbook keys in Bootcamp

I’m running Windows 10 Pro in Bootcamp on a 15″ Macbook Pro. I’d like to remap the lower-left fn (Fucntion) key to Ctrl in Windows; however, all the keyboard mapping applications I’ve seen so far only consider the three (Ctrl, Windows, Alt) keys left of the Space Bar on standard Windows keyboards.

Any ideas?

Have you tried SharpKeys? It remaps how Windows responds to the raw keycodes in the registry, so it's probably more low-level than other apps.

Also, if you're running Windows in Boot Camp or EFI mode, you MUST install this… https://www.crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control My Mac mini gets waaay too hot when running games or updates, because the fan doesn't throttle well enough. This little utility will let you set the upper and lower limits of the temperature for the fan throttling, as well as what sensor to base the reading on. I love it, and it's free.

The fan is either off or on full speed.

I tried SharpKeys first, but it doesn't recognize the Function key on the Macbook's keyboard either.

In reply to RobotRaccoon:

Crud! That's frustrating, but…

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1474092?start=0&tstart=0

Try that.

Also, yeah, that fan app is an absolute necessity. My mini was hitting high 70s and 80s C running things like World of Warcraft. With the fan app, I can keep it under 70 C, which means I'm worrying less about the thing burning itself up.
