Thurrott redesign observation

I personally like the new look but need to offer my feedback.

With the former site I would scroll down the page for the articles and while doing so would encounter things such as ads, Paul’s twitter updates and several other items.

I’m finding with this new site I’m simply not scrolling down the page. There is no need to as the articles are all at the top in that attractive looking section and the Forum’s link is right above it. I’m even checking out the forums less now that they’re not placed on the top right as they were before despite the link being right there.

Again, I’m finding zero reason to scroll down the site at all.

I’m curious if this is just my experience.
