No Comments in IE

Odd… when browsing the site using IE on Windows 10, I don’t see any comments at the end of articles. Yet if I use Chrome or Edge, the comments do appear.

Use Chrome or Edge. 🙂

It's hard to impossible to suport IE these days and we are looking at not doing so anymore because of the difficulties.

In reply to Paul Thurrott:

That's a bold decision given Thurrott.com is essentially a website that discusses MS. While I personally use Chrome I imagine a percentage of your readers use IE. Yours is the first site I've seen who no longer supports IE 11. I guess given how MS themselves have devalued it this will become more frequent.

In reply to anchovylover:

We are still looking into supporting IE but I can tell you it's a very small percentage of people who visit Thurrott with that browser.

In reply to Paul Thurrott:

Hi Paul. As I mentioned in my response to you I use Chrome so I'm not personally impacted by the decision.

In reply to anchovylover:

Roughly 5% are using IE, Chrome dominates with over 50%.

In reply to anchovylover:

It's not bold at all. IE is the past and it's not being updated to support modern web standards. We don't write about IE, either.

In reply to Paul Thurrott:

The problem with Edge is that it's a joke of a browser. Give me IE any day of the week and twice on Sunday over Edge.

I do mostly use Chrome, but I still use IE quite frequently. But yep, that's fine, I'll browse the site using Chrome. Just wanted to point out what I was seeing.

…don't use IE? It's a discontinued browser. Why are you using IE though?

In reply to rameshthanikodi:

It's my understanding the older versions of IE support has ended. But IE 11 is still fully supported, at least by Microsoft.
