Some Feedback and Questions 🙂.

Hey Paul and staff! I’ve wanted to comment on many articles, but we’ve been busy with back to school for the kids. We have kids in elementary, middle school, and high school…exhausting! I just wanted to drop some feedback because I really love this site.

I’m really digging the new newsletters. I’m still kind of thrown off by the color theme but that’s whatever. I really liked that quiz link in one of the newsletters! That was a lot of fun. But I don’t see that link in the newsletters anymore. Maybe I’m missing it and just not seeing it.

I know Windows will always be the primary focus of the site and newsletter but could we Apple users get some love in the newsletter far as tips and news goes?

And where’s the merch? I need a big T sticker and a thurrot.com coffee mug. Actually, a metal water bottle with the Thurrot logo would be better because we already have too many coffee cups, lol.

I’m really enjoying reading the Behind the Scene series you’ve been writing. As a long time follower, it gives me the feeling of being part of a community here. And that you’re sincerely transparent with your readers about the site, appreciate it!

I think the site should have a nice About page with a picture and bio of everyone on the site. From a first time reader’s perspective, I think it adds credibility to the site because it’s putting a face and a sort of bona fides for anyone to check out.

I know you talked about doing the live stream/chat on the site for events. Any chance of this happening with the iPhone event?

I really liked your Choosing Your Browser video on Hands-On Windows. I’d really like to see more videos of you giving your personal opinion or review of the software that you use. The YouTube “review” landscape is dominated by “tech reviewers” so what they have to say is not from a tech normie use case or even a tech enthusiast’s use case. They’re talking about transfer speeds for uploading videos to YouTube and editing videos for YouTube. And just too “scripted” if that makes sense. I’m a grouchy married with kids guy that uses my computer for personal use, surfing the web, keeping track of stuff for my home, and photos and videos of my family.

And do any Safari users with the Grammarly Safari extension have a problem with it not working when you’re posting a comment on the site? I can only get it to work on the site if I install Grammarly on my mac.

Feeling a little punchy tonight from all the coffee I’ve had and wanted to offload some comments. Thanks hope you and everyone’s week is going well!
