Getting Started with Flutter

My son and I want to get familiar with Dart and Flutter development to make web apps for fun. He’s young so it is going to have to be me that learns it and helps him out as we go. I’ve never been much of a programmer. I do some scripting with Powershell and I can read C# and others well enough but never was in a development role where I got comfortable writing it.

I’m looking for beginners tools to get started. Books, online resources, preferred IDEs (I like VS Code but open to alternatives if there’s something more preferable). Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
