Older Games That Still Look Good Today

Games today are becoming more and more graphically intensive. Requiring higher end, more powerful hardware to run.

While games have been advancing for over a decade. Some games have stood the test of time!

My list

1. Half-Life 2

An extremely popular sequel to Half-life 1, released in 2004. The graphics definitely still holds up well today. The water, lighting and textures look fantastic. Albeit, there were updates over the years. It is very passable today.

2. Portal

Another great game by Valve from 2007. The graphics in this look great too!

3. Bioshock 1 and 2. The graphics in these games are actually very good! The game physics do seem slightly dated. Otherwise another game that holds up well. They released a remastered version of these games.

3. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

This is is just a glorified demo of Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3.

For a 2007 PS3 title, the cars look very photorealistic. The tracks are highly detailed looking too!

4. Fallout 3

In maximum settings, Fallout 3 looks great for a 2008 title. Especially the lighting and the environment.

5. Little Big Planet 1 on PS3

This game has stood the test of time. Still looks perfect after 14 years.

6 Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction on PS3.

Another PS3 game that looks very good today!

7. Call of Duty 1 2003 (PC)

The game that kicked off the franchise! Still looks great today. An incredible game!

8. Einhander on the PS1

An incredible game, that looks great for a PlayStation 1 title. Very expensive to buy on eBay.
