Time to ditch Sonos after their Privacy Policy change?

Was surprised to see the mail from Sonos this weekend highlighting changes to their Privacy Policy (translation courtesy of Google, the mail was in Swedish):

We will now base the processing of account data on our legitimate interest rather than as necessary for us to fulfill our contract with you. This means that you have the right to object to this type of treatment.

Why do they take this step?
