    <p>If I owned a big home in a suburb while job growth is occurring I would absolutely downsize and find a cheap home in a quiet town while investing the savings for retirement. The problem is finding the right home, the right town, and access to everything you need to continue to be gainfully employed. I like my dad's method, he created a spreadsheet of housing prices, snow (Y/N), distance from myself and my brother (Illinois/Indiana resp.), and how many BBQ joints were within 20 miles. Then he excluded all the places with snow and set about the hardest task of all: trying to convince Mom.</p>
