Welcome, back?

I am excited to read and engage more after Christmas break. I think I am turning into a geek/nerd. I got to see my brothers at our family Christmas gathering. They are super proud of me entering this side of tech.

They are both huge nerds… One was a low-level executive at RIM (Blackberry) the other was an Audio engineer. I am a data analyst but kinda naive outside the tools I use… why did I come here? I happened to use Windows all my life as that was the default OS when I bought laptops/early college desktops and somewhere I got interested in Microsoft and its story and technology. Probably because my brothers always talked about Bill Gates.

Windows is what I use, so why not learn more about it? The alternative is MAC? I tried Mac and I didn’t like it. I don’t mind my iPhone (I own it bc I chose that brand as Rogers (my ISP) had 14 on sale, iPhone design, and pretty color (purple), otherwise I would love to stay with Blackberry Phones. I did love my Windows phone once Blackberry RIM commercially died…

Anyway, as I learned a lot here, that knowledge gave me a cool new way of hanging out with my brothers and the ability to be geeky with them. It was fun.

I understood most of the things they talked about.

It’s a work in progress. LOL
