Anyone had any issues with Brave crashing when importing settings from Edge

I’ve been trying to switch my main browser to Brave for everyday use, as per Paul’s recommended setup on his recent post, but I’m having trouble getting all the settings from Edge copied across. I’ve got a lot of favorites and passwords I want to keep but every time I try to import from the “settings / import bookmarks and settings option”, the Brave browser just crashes and disappears. Tried only importing specific settings and other options but same thing. The brave forums have had this problem going back to 2021 but no one seems to have a solution. Thought maybe some Brave users here may have some ideas/solution based on past experience?
