Best Family Picture Organization Services/Tools/etc.?

I have 4 family members and trying to figure out how to capture all the videos/pictures generated from their iPhones, iPads, etc. as well as photos loaded onto laptops. I want one place to upload them all and one place to actually organize them as a family versus a single account for each member of the family. We do have Office 365 Home but I find the OneDrive photo upload process takes forever on the iPhone and that it only uploads when you leave the app open… so I consider it unreliable… I want the full image uploaded and stored as we do print pictures (people still do that!) sometimes and I can edit the original not a trimmed down version.

What tools/services are people using? We use Macs and Windows PCs at home as well.

Thanks,

Kris Arthur

I use Google Photos for all that and just share the photos with people in the family who would want the copy of those photos. It awesome!

I use both onedrive and google photos – they both work pretty well. I give the edge to google photos because of speed and virtually unlimited storage space.

I just hate paying Google more to store the raw images of the files (I have more than the 15 GB of free storage) plus I need full sized pics.

You get 100 gb for $2 a month. It’s only the cost of a medium coffee per month. For off site backup and if you want you can use it for google drive as well which I do. $2 is almost free.

You are right… glad I posted on the forums… I kept thinking it was free or $9.99/month. For $24 a year it’s almost a no-brainer. Thanks!

Do you just link all the family members into using your gMail account or does Google allow you to share a few accounts for the photo piece only?
