The site is extremely slow from Europe

I don’t know what’s going on, but for the past 2-3 days the site performance is AWFUL from Europe.

I ran a GTMETRIX test and there are A LOT of things needing to be optimized: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/thurrott.com/eYLZufud

I understand there was some data loss which led to a hosting services provider change, but the performance is WAY worse for thurrott.com now.

The front page loads in 17.8 seconds, when a 2 seconds wait is the limit before the average user walks away from here.
