Windows Update Settings for Creators Update Pro SKU

I hadn’t heard much about options in the Pro SKU for Windows Update. I only heard I could “defer updates” which I’ve been able to do since the beginning. This is for those like me who were wondering.

The settings dialog now lets me choose the following. How long I’m able to defer security updates which can be up to 30 days, how long I’m able to defer feature updates which can be up to 365 days, and whether to use “Current Branch” or “Current Branch for Business.”

I also have the option to pause updates for 30 days and “Use my sign in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update.”

It’s unclear whether Microsoft will still bother me everyday until I let it install the updates. It’s also unclear whether it will continue to ignore the active hours I have setup. I guess we’ll find out.
