calendar alert sapped Samsung Galaxy 5 watch battery overnight

I have a flight this morning at 7:00 a. M. PDT. This is a domestic flight.  I am Checking in 2 hours before flight time. I set my alarm to 4:00 a. M. PDT to allow for drive time to Burbank airport.

I woke up around 3:00 a m. Glanced at my Samsung Galaxy 5 watch. An alert for the flight was showing on the watch and battery on watch was drained down to 7%. Luckily fast charge brought the battery back to 95% by the time I need to start moving.

People like to brag about artificial intelligence. Shouldn’t Bixby know to not drain my battery down to 7% like that?

And this is a software issue. Not hardware related. Yet the whole tech world keeps praying and yearning for higher specs on the hardware side.

When I return home I will try to simulate this situation with my apple watch.
