Anonymous Posting, Bug or Feature?

Yesterday, I created a post (link below) on the Microsoft forum, and when it got posted the “posted by” part of the post come out empty.

Sale Surface, is this the time?

I guess this is the result of me taking to long to write the post and lost my premium member credential due to time out. (I got call away while writing the post)

Regularly, forums will either allow you to keep your account logged in as long as you are composing a new post, or it will check the credential before actual posting and promo the user to log in again before actually post the material (with all works temporarily cached of course).

I don’t know if this is a bug, or an intentional design feature to allow anonymous post, if later, do I deserve a gold star for finding it out? lol
