Outlook.com Beta People Tab

Finally the People section (contacts) list is joining the Outlook.com beta. It brings one feature that has been absent for nearly 10 years… The ability to upload your own customized contact photo.

It’s nice to know that Microsoft is listening.

Looking forward to this thing rolling out to the public soon.

Couldn’t figure out how to embed them.

Thanks for the PSA, I'd not have known otherwise. A shame we can't upvote threads themselves.

The viewing and editing UI have also been cleaned up nicely, instead of the earlier scrolling list.

This really seems to be on a slow boil. But I agree, it looks great.

I'm pretty excited about this. I've been using Outlook.com on and off for forever, but never would use the contacts feature as my primary contacts list due to the inability to upload a custom photo. I've used Google Contacts in the past as well as contacts on iCloud. It's good knowing that I can finally move everything back to one service again.

This finally supports contact photo editing! :)

But, it's not working for some of my contacts. I save a new picture, refresh the page and the new picture is gone. Oh well, it's a beta I guess!
