outlook[dot]com ups the advertising ante

I use outlook to subscribe to a lot of email ads and newsletters, so I have a lot of subfolders and sub-subfolders.

A while back I saw “Upgrade Your Account” as the top email in Inbox. I deleted it, but then discovered it returned every time I returned to that page. Annoying, but no more than the regular nags that my ad blocker deprives me of valuable screen real estate that could be full of wonderful ad content.

This week I see that MSFT has now inserted the “Upgrade Your Account” into every page in my folder tree. I guess in case I forgot that they showed it to me at the very top of the main Inbox page. Wonderful. I might have forgotten as a perused my email on other pages.
