Xbox Series X with 4k monitor with no audio

How am I best getting audio out of an Xbox Series X if I want to use it with my 4K PCs monitor that has no audio? How can I (cheaply?) get the audio aspect of the HDMI connection to some PC speakers, for instance? Does the Xbox Series X have a 3.5m audio output?

It does not. I believe the only way to do that is to use an HDMI audio extractor. They start at around 30USD. It's basically a small box that extracts the audio from the HDMI signal and then outputs it in digital or analog format. If you go for the analog format you will be using the D/A converter of the box, which can be of very low quality on the cheap ones

Many 4k monitors have a 3.5m audio output – if you have this, your monitor is receiving the audio via the HDMI cable and you simply need to plug in your extremal monitors to the output jack. You will have all your audio

The other option is just using a headset, either connected to the controller, or something like the Xbox headset that just came out.
