I recently sent my Surface Book2 in for warranty repair and MS sent me a new Surface Book2. MS concluded that the damage was due to liquid damage and would not replace the device at no charge nor would they allow me to return the new device for a refund. Instead they charged me full price for ($3100) for it and only gave me a 90 day warranty on the new device. Additionally they refused to return my old device which was an I7 with 16gb RAM. The clipboard was still functioning on its battery and when connected to a surface dock. In addition, they would credit my account or give a store credit for the old device.
