Surface Pro 11 dongle problem

I watch movies and streaming content by connecting my laptop to my 50″ TCL television HDMI port. The TV is is 4K and several years old. The connection goes through a Satechi dock. No problems when using my Macbook or my LG Gram. However on my Surface Pro 11 the video often freezes for 5 to ten seconds, but the audio continues. I have several other docks and no joy using an Anker dock or an Anker USB C to HDMI adapter. All of these are new. I just tried the oldest dock (several years old) which is an OWC Travel Dock E and it works perfectly.

It seems that the 11 is “dock sensitive”.
