A video for the disheartened Microsoft fan

No matter how dismal things are in consumer side of Microsoftland at the moment, it’s nothing compared to what the Apple fanbase went through 20 years ago. This 21 year old episode of the Computer Chronicles from the 1996 Boston Macworld really does show how bad things can get.

As an added bonus of sorts, you’ll also hear echos of what some people are saying about Apple today (though these days they earn in a couple of days all they had in the bank in 1996).

It was pretty bleak then for Mac users. Funny to think how two years later that was not longer the case. As far as trying to compare it to current day Apple? That is more than a stretch. People have been taking their impending decline since Steve made the company profitable again in 97. They aren’t going anywhere any time soon. Now, if you really want to have fun at the expense of some Apple fans, go over to Apple Insider and read the thread on games for Apple TV. That is really entertaining.

It has been said about Macs, iPods, iPhones, iPads, Watches and I’m guessing someone is already saying I about Home Pod. Throw in a “form over” function and you have the greatest hits of shit people say about Apple.

This is how I know Microsoft is finished… It's users have no sense of "self" anymore. They only see themselves in relation to Apple and Google. Even at the lowest point in Apple History, Apple users still believed. The Microsoft ERA is over.

In reply to TEAMSWITCHER:

It's not the users' fault. It's Microsoft's fault. They've been predatory for >20 years, slowly developed a reputation. Put all their eggs in Windows basket and blew it. Late to the game with Music, with Touch Mobile, with VR. Blew Windows 8, tried to force users onto Windows 10. They've earned it all.
