OnlyOffice is better than Microsoft at Canadian localization

Microsoft sucks at localization. They’ve screwed this up for years, not bothering to learn the difference between US, UK, and Canadian standards. I just tried OnlyOffice recently via their free desktop editors, and they do Canadian spelling properly. That is, the UK spellings of “colour” and “favourite” with a ‘u’, but using the US-styled versions of words ending in ‘ization’ with a ‘z’ instead of the UK spelling with an ‘s’. Canada isn’t just set on a default British standard. And we don’t use metric A4 paper either!

Microsoft are atrocious. Windows 7 was the highlight for bad localisation. They decided they didn’t need the German office for the translations, they could do it in Redmond…

It ended up with things like "Die Einstellung Ihrer Nachbarn ändern", which translated back to English would be "change the attitude of your neighbours", unfortunately, it didn’t seem to do what it said, my neighbour was still a bit mental, even after I clicked on that option.
