Confused about login

Paul keeps talking about how I can login to Windows 10 with my business account but I keep trying and I get “looks likes like this is not a Microsoft account try another” . I have a 365 personal account and an Office 365 Business Essentials account , What am I doing wrong?

I've never used Essentials, we have MS365 E5. But I'm guessing it needs the username to be a registered AzureAD user and Essentials doesn't provide AzureAD?

According to the feature list, it is for online users, so I'm guessing, as there is no locally installed office applications, that that level of account can't be used to log onto Windows.

All Office 365 commercial accounts come with AAD Free, which lets you sign-in to a Windows 10 Pro or higher PC. What it doesn't provide is settings sync. You need Microsoft 365 or an Office 365 add-on of some kind; I'm testing one now, will write about this soon.

It seems that it isn't in Essentials or it isn't available any more... This post is from January.

"You need Azure AD Premium license for this, this is not included in O365 Essentials."

It seems that Microsoft's documentation isn't 100% clear, some says it is included, some says it isn't.

You need to join your Windows 10 Pro computer to Azure Active Directory. Do this from the Accounts settings.
