Bold Predictions for the Future Decoded event

I have a couple of bold predicitions Microsoft’s Future Decoded event here in London at the end of the month (“for entertainment purposes only, viewer discrection is advised”).

1 – Microsoft will jointly announce with Wileyfox that they will be doing a Microsoftised Android Phone, and Microsoft will be bringing it to Microsoft Stores in the US. A Windows 10 Mobile version will be available to corporates on special order.

2 – There will be some financial entanglement between Microsoft and Canonical. Ranging from an Ubuntu based joint venture to an outright take-over.

3 – There will be a working Quantum Computer on display.

I would love to hear other people’s bold predictions. The more “not very likely but not technically impossible” the better.

Probably keeping it (or at least Ubuntu) separate but connected to the rest of Microsoft, at least at the beginning like they've done with LinkedIn.

I think what I fundamentally meant in #2 is some form of cash injection from MS to Canonical to help keep them going.

I went to the first Future Decoded event in London, with Satya first year being CEO. He had his back to audience in a question answer session.

Pretty weak event, don't expect too much. Possibly announcing the opening first London Microsoft Store in UK.

In reply to Jules_Wombat:

In all honesty, I'm not expecting any announcements (I think the answer to the question "what is Panos Panay doing in London" is "going on a company subsidised Christmas shopping trip").

Though I am kind of surprised by the number of Quantum Computing sessions.
