Cortana and adding a calendar event

Try this and tell me if it works for you.

On PC

Add a calendar event via Cortana – Hey Cortana add to my calendar “some event” at 2 pm today.

On iPhone

Look at your Outlook app Calendar. Does the event show? It does not for me.

On Outlook.com

Look for that calendar event. It does NOT show on mine.

On PC

Look at calendar app. The event shows up here.

This is terrible, why does an event created with Cortana on PC not show on Outlook.com Calendar or on the Outlook app on iPhone?

Am I missing something here everything is connected? The Cortana app on iPhone does in fact have the event. Ugh.

Try this…

On desktop, click Cortana, click the gear on the lower left (settings), scroll down to where it says "Send notifications and information between devices", select "Edit Sync Settings", yes the top two should be about Windows Phone or something if used, but there should be an option that says, "Upload notifications from this PC to the Cloud", make sure its checked.

Also, it might be good to go through ALL the settings within Cortana there…

In reply to andrewhodge:

Oh, by the way, I am using the latest Windows Insider build, so, what I see under Cortana and those settings may be different from what you see… but, from what the settings there say, you would think that that would be the solution to your problem….
