Backing out of the insider W10 builds

Whats the easiest way of backing out of the Windows 10 insider builds, and go back to a clean 1607 build? Is it just a case of turing off insider builds from Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program? What then? If I do a restore, will it be a 1607 restore I go back to, or do I need to do a clean install of W10?

Reinstall from ISO as far as I know.

You gotta re-install the 1607 build from the ISO. Or you can wait for the final creators update build to drop to the public and wait for the RTM build to sync up with the insider ones. Then, when you opt out of the insider program, there’s no need for any re-installation.

I bet the Insider builds sounded like a good idea at first, but I bet you’re fed up to the back teeth of them now.

Well I guess that all depends. I run Insider build (Fast ring) on all my devices (including my mobile), even my work computer and the issues have been minimal, almost non existent.

My second laptop (with insider builds) is now my primary laptop, which I’d prefer to be as stable as possible. Not really had any issues with reliability so far, but I just want piece of mind.

Cheers
