Can you pin different apps to the taskbars of virtual desktops?

I’m trying to use Windows 10 Virtual Desktops. I’d like to be able to pin different apps to the taskbar of each virtual desktop. However, it seems that pinned apps are shared across virtual desktops.

For example, I’d like Virtual Desktop #1 is just for general purpose computing. I’d like Virtual Desktop #2 to be for software development. So, I’d like to pin SSMS, VS2019, VS Code, Git Bash, etc. to the taskbar of only Virtual Desktop #2. But it seems as if pin an app to the taskbar of Virtual Desktop #2, it also gets pinned to the taskbar of Virtual Desktop #1.

Is there a way around this so that each Virtual Desktop has its own exclusive set of pinned apps on the taskbar?

W10 virtual desktops are very rudimentary.

Linux did it better 15 years ago, unfortunately.

A virtual desktop is essentially a list of shown/hidden applications.

When you change desktops, Window state is changed for each so that some are now hidden and others shown. (with a nice animation of course)

Hence, no, there is no way of having separate taskbars.
