Copilot Preview

Well, ok. I just triggered the preview install of Copilot today. Copilot, with no usage, starts 13 instances of Edge taking up about 240meg of ram. As I use Copilot that grows, just a few short questions gets it above 320meg. In typical Microsoft fashion, closing the Copilot window does not release ANY of those resources. I can right-click on the Edge stack of instances and end the task and it doesn’t seem to re-appear until I launch Copilot again. This results in about a 30% memory load just on startup (with the other stuff the machine already starts).

This is exactly the thing I presumed would happen. I don’t really need/want Copilot running all the time. I don’t mind if it takes a couple of milliseconds longer to load so give me the option to leave this resource sink turned off unless I need it.
