Disabling “Let’s Finish Setting up Your Device” screen

After being nagged yet again to finish setting up my device, despite the fact that it is perfectly set up from my perspective, I got motivated to see if there was a permanent way to disable that darn (not the word I would choose but community standards…) screen.

Found this article (makeuseof.com[/]windows-11-disable-lets-finish-setting-device/) with several methods for doing so. I do not trust any of those that involve going through the Settings app, as Microsoft has a way of changing settings with each patch and update. However, the article does have an option via the Registry Editor, which should be good.

  1. Open Regedit as admin
  2. Navigate to HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionContentDeliveryManager
  3. New DWORD (32-bit) value
  4. Rename SubscribedContent-310093Enabled (…of course), set Value to 0 if it is not that by default.

The only downside seems to be that it is only for Current User so if the computer has multiple accounts, it has to be repeated.
