There’s a Muse AI app on the Microsoft Store that appears to be a spoofing attempt. Meta has not yet released an official Muse app for Windows. DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP.

Given all the permissions that the actual Muse agent app requests, this is a little bit terrifying. While I don’t actually think most Thurrott members would be likely to install this, it does raise a couple of important questions.
First, how does Microsoft allow these scammy apps into their store in the first place? I mean, it’s pretty obvious that somebody is attempting to capitalize on popularity of the new Meta Muse AI assistant and slip this into the vacuum before they can release a legit app of their own.
Second, how does the Microsoft Store not provide an easy way to report content like this? I had to use the Feedback Hub, create ticket, and paste a link back to the store app page. Reporting a questionable app should be a one-click affair.
