Help fix a Windows design issue

So, the “issue” of the Taskbar search box turning white has been answered. The official response to everyone calling it a problem is for them to say… It’s not a problem and Cortana follows the system theme, instead of noticing that everyone is calling it wrong, they’re pushing ahead with it.

It’s hideous, it’s stupid, it’s crap.

That’s the link to my feedback calling them out on it. Let’s get this issue some recognition because not only does it look like absolute garbage it’s a poor, tone-deaf response to user backlash.

Help get this seen, upvote it and please leave written feedback. If you’re one of those people who feels the need to say “I don’t care” don’t bother posting if you don’t help. If it doesn’t matter to you, then you won’t care if there’s a user option for Cortana’s search box color. Instead, just go upvote and help those of us who don’t want something hideous on our Taskbar. 😉

It’s hideous, it’s stupid, it’s crap.

Many said the same thing about the Luna theme in Windows XP. MSFT goes through phases. MSFT seldom admits error, and never quickly.

ADDED: FWIW, the [Win]+X menu also does its own thing. Set your app mode to Light, and the [Win]+X menu ignores it and displays the same as it would in Dark mode. Face the truth: MSFT may be willing to allow app developers to customize the look of their apps, but MSFT is no longer interested in letting mere users customize colors in Windows beyond picking an accent color. Have it your way is for fast food, not Windows.

In reply to hrlngrv:

Unfortunately… That's true. It's like they look for what Insiders pile on and dislike and then say THAT'S OUR DIRECTION!!
