What are people’s thoughts on this Kano PC? Looks like something to get me… err a kiddo.

It's $300 for a crappy Atom processor with only 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. You can get an Atom SBC with the same specs for half of that, making the battery, case, and screen EXTREMELY expensive for what you're getting. They don't even say what resolution the screen is on their site.

And the writer doesn't know what they're talking about:

"owners will grow out of the introductory software and discover a system that can still run creative and industry-standard applications, such as Photoshop"

Bullsh*t. You're not going to be running Photoshop on this pissy little thing.

Buy an HP Stream 11 Pro G4/G5 and put one of the better Linux distros on it (Fedora is better than Ubuntu) and you get a system that a kid could use without the headaches of Windows 10, can learn coding, and can run software on superior hardware without bogging down the system, because it isn't Windows.

Besides, the Kano doesn't ship until October, so you're just crowdfunding it because they likely can't get capital to mass produce it. You'd be just feeding a ponzi scheme by pre-ordering anything like this.
