KB4532695 (W10 Version 1909) waking-up from sleep problem

Since installing this 2020-01 cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1909, my quite new HP desktop (with a 64 bit AMD chipset) won’t wake up when it has gone to sleep. I have to power the computer off and then on again. Nothing gets lost however, e.g. open text files are still there.

Not noted anything like this, either on my desktop (Ryzen 1700) or my ThinkPad (Intel Core i5-8xxxU). Both go to sleep and wake up normally.

Have you tried removing the patch? Does the problem go away? Does reapplying the patch afterwards cause the same problem to reappear?

If you have a mouse and keyboard plugged into USB 3.0 ports try plugging them into USB 2.0 ports. It may be the system is capable of waking from sleep but the ports the peripherals are plugged into were put into power saving mode by the OS, Windows is particularly aggressive about turning off USB 3.0 ports.

Thank you. I will try both suggestions.
