Memory integrity

Who has memory integrity turned on and what if any issues has it caused? I never paid much attention to it before, but after reading up on it I decided to turn it on. Boot time is about 2 seconds slower and now and then the fan kicks on briefly at boot. (T490) Once the system is up and running I can’t tell if memory integrity is on or not. I plan to keep it on unless major issues arise. Thoughts?
