Server boot drive corrupt, how to better protect myself in the future

I moved from Windows Server 2012R2E to using Windows 10 Pro a few years ago. We had a power outage that corrupted the boot drive and had to reinstall.  I used stablebit for file redundancy and everything really important goes up to Onedrive also.  I was always mostly concerned about keeping my files safe and backed up but forgot what a pain it was to reinstall everything that was running on the server. I had Plex and a few other programs that require some set up after being installed and would like to avoid having to do this again in the future. I was thinking of just saving a disk image or cloning a 2nd hard drive and putting it away until needed but thought I might as well see what ideas or methods that others use. Thanks
