Taskbar Darkens on Lost Focus – How to Fix?

I recently got a new Windows 11 laptop. When the Windows taskbar loses focus, it darkens the whole taskbar (including all the Start button and all the buttons of my running apps and apps I’ve pinned to the taskbar). It makes it much harder to see what’s on the taskbar when everything on it goes dark. I’ve checked the taskbar settings and I don’t see a way to disable or override this functionality. Does anyone know how change this behavior?
