What Windows Version Is Most Secure?

My friends and I have been having the debate for a while since Windows 10 came out. What do you think is the most secure version of Windows 7, 8.1 or 10?

Um… I don’t think there’s any contest. It’s 10.

The only security improvement I’m aware of between 8.1 and 10 is UWP packaging of desktop software, but App-V works in Windows 8.1, so this may only involve deployment.

I wonder how many security improvements are dependent on recent HW. How does Win7 Home on a 5 year old average PC compare with Win10 Home on the same machine.?

The most secure version of Windows, is one used by someone who is cautious, and doesn’t browse to shady websites.

If I had to say specifically which one is most secure, I would say Windows 10, because of forced updates on users.

When did they start implementing memory address randomization and stuff like that? Was that in 8 or 10?

10 because they fully support it. I would not be shocked if Microsoft stopped support abruptly on Win 7 and 8.1 as they have the built in excuse that they offered a free upgrade to 10 and users decided to ignore their update advice.
