Windows 10 Enterprise 1809 LTSC revisited

After experiencing a graphics issue with a computer game last weekend, I decided to install Windows 10 on my current gaming PC to see if the problem persisted. I was having strange graphical glitches during movement.

Indeed, the problem disappeared. As it turns out, it was due to a single file that wasn’t compatible with the current version and required an older DLL file.

I then spent the rest of the weekend playing around with Windows 10, and friends, what can I say? I love it.

I received the Enterprise LTSC license from a former employer. This version of Windows 10 has no Cortana, no Edge, no Windows Store, no OneDrive, nothing. Nothing to distract or annoy you

This version will receive updates until January 2029, and I’ve decided to use it until the end.

Isn’t it strange? Microsoft keeps blessing us with new features, only to withdraw many of them when they realize their users aren’t using them.

Most users don’t want constant new features; they want a system that simply does what it’s supposed to and doesn’t annoy them with constant notifications and patronizing behavior. Will Microsoft ever finally understand this?
