Windows 10 Storage Spaces disconnect randomly

I am having a problem with Storage Spaces in Windows 10. After I upgraded the storage space I had been using since Windows 8 to the updated format, (at some point available in Windows 10, though I just noticed it) My storage space drive just randomly disappears from the system, explorer and disk management console. I have tried restoring windows, blowing away windows and reloading it, going into the fast ring and backing up the storage space drive completely, blowing it away, and starting with a new one.  Nothing has worked.

Anyone have a solution, workaround, or third party software that works identically?
