Help with Office

Hi,

suddenly this morning, each time I try to open a Micorosft 365 application, I get the Office logo, and a message saying, “Updating Office, please wait a moment”. After a few seconds, I get the error message: “Error, unable to start correctly, error code 0xc0000142. Click OK to close the application”. I tried Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and they all return the same error.

I looked it up a bit online and the only suggestion I find is to uninstall and reinstall the apps. I did that, but exactly the same thing happens. Anyone has any suggestions?

In the meanwhile I solved it by using the repair function of the installer of the Office app. I panicked a bit this morning because it's not nice to start on Monday morning a long week of work, with the main apps I use that don't even start :-)</p>
