Minecraft is Now Available on Nintendo Switch

If you’re looking for the ultimate mobile Minecraft experience, look no further than the Nintendo Switch: Microsoft has announced that its blockbuster video game and learning tool is now available in the Nintendo eShop.

“Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition should be available on the shiny new handheld-and-home console today,” Microsoft’s Marsh Davies explains, “first rolling out on the Nintendo eShop in North America, before following in Europe and Japan tomorrow.”

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition offers some unique features when compared to other versions of the game. You can play with up to 8 other gamers online and if everyone has their own Switch, you can play with up 8 others locally as well. But even with a single Switch, you can use a splitscreen mode with up to four players too, using just the device or a TV.

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition also comes with a Super Mario Mash-Up Pack that provides a “custom crafted Mario-themed world, with all the mushrooms, man-eating plants and oversized plumbing you’d expect – and a texture pack to match. You can explore it while listening to one of 15 tracks from Super Mario 64 and skinned up as one of 40 characters from Mario’s universe – Princess Peach, Toad, Yoshi, all the Koopalings, Wario and [much] more.”

It also includes extra worlds—Chinese Mythology, Halloween, Festive and Greek Mythology—plus more skin packs, including Redstone Specialists, multiple Battle and the Beast skin packs, two of the Festive packs and more.

Best of all, Microsoft says that Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition runs at 720p resolution at 60 fps across all modes and game types, too, on both the device itself and on a TV.

Wow. Great news! This will put Minecraft front and center, for sure. The Switch is the hottest home gaming console at the moment. Very good idea, MS.

It's $29.99 in the U.S. Switch Nintendo eShop. The Windows 10 version in the Store was on sale for $9.99 two weeks ago, I'm glad I got the better deal. I don't play Minecraft (yet) but my 8 year old niece is going to teach me this Summer ;)

Combination of Amazing Gaming console with the best of minecraft would be great fun. Love the design & functionality of Nintendo switch. Best feature is that it can be connected to bigger screens with the help of HDMI Cable & <a href="https://top10league.com/wii-hdmi-converter-review/" target="_blank">Best Wii to HDMI Converter
