Cuphead Passes 3 Million in Sales

Cuphead today reached a major milestone: 3 million sales. The maker of the critically acclaimed game, Studio MDHR announced the milestone on its blog.

Cuphead was originally released in September of 2017, and passing 3 million sales in such a short time is obviously a huge deal for this type of games. To celebrate the achievement, Studio MDHR has discounted Cuphead by 20% on Xbox and Steam. “We’re barely past the halfway mark of 2018, and are humbled to announce that Cuphead has already reached over 3 million copies sold! It’s hard for us to express just how appreciative we are to everyone who has played and enjoyed our niche little run & gun game with the wacky rubber-hose characters,” the Cuphead team said in the blog post.

Cuphead is definitely one of the best games that came out recently. It’s incredibly hard for sure since I am still stuck on the first level. But if you are a fan of the game, you should be looking forward to the upcoming “The Delicious Last Course” DLC. And if you haven’t tried Cuphead yet, this is probably the best time to grab the game since it’s discounted by 20% for the next 48 hours.

<p>"I<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">ncredibly Hard" is the truth for sure…you should have heard the cheers in my house when I finally completed a single level. And then the game only gave me a C-. Wow…</span></p>

<p>At this rate CupHead will beat Windows 10 to the 1 billion user mark.</p>

<p>I have to be brutally honest here and ask the obvious question, who cares? Like does anyone other than the workers as part of the company care that it has sold 3 mil. + copies? It just seems like an odd article to write up.</p>

<blockquote><em><a href="#300732">In reply to AmtarcticOasis:</a></em></blockquote><p>People who enjoyed the game cares about how well it does. It gives the company incentives to create more DLC and/or a sequel.</p>

<p>i'm still blown away whenever someone says that they're stuck on the first level of Cuphead. Come on. Commit to it a little, clearing the first level at least can be done.</p>

<p>This game is "Mario" hard. Like "Tubular" in the Special World of SMW hard.</p>
